Overview:
In the 1960's, Century® Archival Products explored the use of acid free paper and materials to create unique archival storage products to preserve and protect valuable documents. In 1979, Century® began a line of archival storage boxes and supplies made from a new solid fiber, acid free, lignin free boxboard. All interior dimensions are 3/8" greater in length and width than format size.
Besides eliminating or reducing unwanted chemicals and impurities that can contaminate and damage a box's contents, boxes produced by Century® Archival Products create a micro-climate and provide some protection against swings in temperature and humidity, as well as a barrier to dust, dirt, and pollutants.
In addition to using carefully selected and tested archival materials, Century® has invested thousands of dollars developing efficient manufacturing methods to provide products that are considered the best available today by photographers, artists, archivists, conservators, genealogists and collectors worldwide. For total quality assurance, all our products are made by us in our factory in Richmond, Virginia, USA.
