Basic 511 Overview:

The Basic 511 is the most used of our classic knives. Appreciated and loved by professionals and hobby craftsmen for generations, it’s a proper Mora knife. 

It features an impact-resistant handle with a larger geometry that fits even better in your hand. The finger guard has been developed to optimize safety. The blade has a perfect balance between length and width, which gives a better experience when using the knife.

The carefully chosen knife steel is hardened in Mora, Sweden according to a secret recipe. The blade is a high-quality carbon steel that is easy to re-sharpen. Carbon steel can be affected by moisture and corrosive environments, therefore make it a habit of wiping off the knife and use oil on the blade after each use.

Basic 546 Overview:

The Basic 546 is cast in the same shape as our ageless classic, the 511. The only difference is that the blade is made of stainless steel, which keeps the knife sharper for longer and doesn’t need so much maintenance. Smooth and simple!

Stainless steel is the best choice when working outdoors. What’s more, the blade has a perfect balance between length and breadth, giving you a better user experience. The steel has been carefully selected and treated according to our secret recipe, in our factory in Mora.

The solid finger guard optimizes safety and the new, larger-shaped handle makes the knife sit even better in your hand.
