Overview:

The Mini version of the PRO 634 CF, the SLIK PRO 624 CF has four short leg sections that extend to a maximum height of 47.4 inches but close down to just 16.3 inches for carrying and storage.

With a weight of 1.8 lbs this tripod is an easy traveler that can be used in situations where a full-sized tripod would not be needed or not be convenient to carry.

The feature-set shared by the other PRO carbon fiber tripods continues with the 624 CF, making it a perfect suitcase traveler.

The Silk PRO CF series feature 8-layer Carbon Fiber which is as much as 40% lighter than aluminum and very rigid, making ideal it for applications from space vehicles to tripod legs. Slik sources its carbon fiber tubing in Europe from a manufacturer that specializes in carbon fiber.

Slik PRO CF carbon fiber tripods feature an A.R.S (Ant-Rotational System) designed into the legs and log locks. The A.R.S. systems prevent the leg tubes from rotating inside each other, making it much easier to lock and release all the twist-release locks securely.

Each leg has an independent lock that sets in one 3 angles to vary the height and stance of the tripod. The three setting are for maximum height, waist level or low angle photography close to the ground. It also makes it easier to set up the tripod on uneven ground, steps or rocks. The center column unscrew into two pieces to create a much shorter column for use in low angle photography.
